Shuttle to Loma Vista Gardens leaves from Monte Verde Inn

The trip down to Big Sur is 45 minutes depending on traffic. If you decide to drive to the ceremony, please be careful! While the drive is amazingly beautiful, the road is narrow. Also, if you plan on drinking during the day, we would prefer you to take the shuttle. There is no reason to drink and drive.

Why Big Sur?
We took a short trip to Big Sur a few years back and instantly fell in love with the area. It's the most picturesque, peaceful getaway and we hope you'll be able to join us there for our wedding day.

Big Sur is a rugged stretch of California’s central coast 45 minutes south of Carmel, bordered by the Santa Lucia Mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. The drive down on Route 1 is known for its winding turns, seaside cliffs and amazing views of the coastline. The area is covered in strikingly tall redwood trees and has several beautiful state parks with trails and beaches. Though we'll be staying up in Carmel, we highly recommend you squeeze in some time to explore Big Sur. We hope you'll fall in love with the area as much as we did.
